The markets on July 02, 2019 opened down. BSE Sensex is trading at 39,593.05, down by 93.45 points and the Nifty is trading at 11,833.45, down by 32.15 points. 

Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited has received USFDA approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) Febuxostat Tablets, 40 mg and 80 mg.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will hold a meeting on Tuesday, July 2 with its allies and Russia to decide on a production cut. Market participants are expecting that OPEC will decide to extend the oil production cut for another nine months period.

Overall volumes in futures & options currently stand at 83,76,552 contracts with a turnover of Rs.5,91,774.05 crore.

The rating company's board has placed ICRA's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Naresh Takkar under forced leave with immediate effect. The stock reacted strongly to the development and slipped by more than 5 per cent in the morning session on Tuesday.
