The stock of Ashoka Buildcon was up more than 9 per cent on Thursday as the company was declared as the Lowest Bidder by the NHAI for the Tumkur – Shivamogga section, near Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The company plans to buyback around 2.10 per cent of it paid-up equity capital for not more than Rs. 1,956 crore. Following the announcement, the stock hit 52-week high on Thursday.

The Supreme Court of India has given a decision in favour of popular painkiller Saridon by exempting its formulation from the list of banned FDCs (Fixed Dose Combinations).

The markets on February 21, 2019 opened gap up. BSE Sensex is trading at 35,841.92, up by 85.66 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,762.75, up by 27.30 points.
