The stock of ONGC was the top gainers on BSE Sensex on Thursday following buzz that the company has applied for clearance to drill wells in Mehsana, Gujarat. ONGC gained for the second consecutive day and closed at Rs. 148.80 per share, up by 4.17 per cent.

The markets on February 28, 2019 opened gap up. BSE Sensex is trading at 36,020.86, up by 115.43 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,841.85, up by 35.20 points. 

The Indian big-box retailer has entered a franchise agreement to operate 7-Eleven brand of stores in the country. 7-Eleven is a global convenience store stocking internationally popular brands of snacks and beverages.

Wipro has agreed to divest its Workday and Cornerstone OnDemand business to Alight for a cash consideration of US$110 million. Wipro will receive US$100 million of payout with a closure of the deal and the balance US$10 million after 1 year based on various performance parameters.
