The Union government plans to list seven public sector enterprises in 2019. The Cabinet Committee has approved a divestment plan wherein 6 state-owned entities will float an initial public offering (IPO), while one already listed company KIOCL will issue a follow-on offer. 

Bank of India is likely to get the highest amount of Rs 10,086 crore, out of these seven PSBs, followed by Oriental Bank of Commerce, which might get Rs 5,500 crore through recapitalisation bonds, sources added.

The stocks most likely to witness significant movement on the bourses on December 31, 2018 are Peninsula Land, HT Media, Tata Steel, KIOCL and SAIL.

Following stocks are close to their 52-week low as at 1.59 p.m. on December 28, 2018.

The markets on December 28, 2018 opened gap up. BSE Sensex is trading at 36,153.28, up by 346.00 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,881.65, up by 101.85 points.
