After Yes Bank, here comes yet another action on a private sector bank. The  Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has barred Bandhan Bank from opening new branches and has also freezed the compensation of its  CEO.

Metal index was the top loser in the NSE sectoral indices and tumbled more than 5 per cent from the previous close. This was majorly in the wake of continued fall in the global alumina prices which fell 3 per cent in today’s trade. The prices fell ahead of Alcoa workers’ decision to call-off the strike, which would ease alumina supply.

Indian auto stocks got a bear hug with the Auto index plunging nearly 14.8 per cent in September from its high to low. Going ahead, the next two months would be keenly watched on the back of festive sales during Dashera and Diwali where sales are expected to bounce back.

The stocks most likely to witness significant movement on the bourses on October 1, 2018 are Ajmera Realty and Infra India Ltd., Tata Power, Yes Bank, Kitex Garments Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. and Maithan Alloys Ltd. 

The stock of Infibeam Avenues had a free fall on Friday. The stock dipped more than 80 per cent intraday. It touched a new 52-week low of Rs. 69.15 per share.
