Q1FY21 results: Suzlon Energy records net loss of Rs 398.86 crore
Suzlon Energy Limited announced its Q1FY21 results on Aug 29, 2020. The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 522.93 crore in Q1FY21, which declined by 37.98 per cent YoY from Rs 843.22 crore in Q1FY20.
The company posted EBITDA of Rs 90.97 crore in Q1FY21 that rose by 118.21 per cent YoY. For Q1FY20, it had posted EBITDA of Rs 41.69 crore. EBITDA margin as of Q1FY21 was at 17.4 per cent that rose by 12.46 per cent YoY. EBITDA margin for Q1FY20 was 4.94 per cent.
The consolidated net loss in Q1FY21 came in at Rs 398.86 crore, which rose by 18.4 per cent, as compared to Q1FY20, when it reported a loss of Rs 336.88 crore. The net profit margin in Q1FY21 came in at -76.27 per cent, which declined by 36.32 per cent YoY. The net profit margin for Q1FY20 was -39.95 per cent.
On Friday, share price of the company closed at Rs 3.84, down by 1.29 per cent.
