The closing rally powered by BSE Oil & Gas and BSE Metals, which posted gains of over 1 per cent each, helped the Indian benchmark indices end the session higher. The only losing sectors were BSE Capital Goods, BSE Consumer Durables and BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods. The BSE Sensex gained 0.37 per cent to 61,133 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index climbed 0.38 per cent to a level of 18,191.

NTPC Ltd - Following successful commissioning, second part capacity of 50 MW out of 300 MW Nokhra Solar PV Project in Bikaner (Rajasthan), is declared to be in commercial operation as of December 30, 2022. With this, standalone installed and commercial capacity of NTPC has become 58,259 MW, while group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC will become 70,874 MW.
Godrej Properties - One of India's major real estate developers, Godrej Properties Ltd, announced the acquisition of roughly 9 acres of land in Gurugram (Haryana). The project is expected to generate roughly Rs 2,500 crore in revenue.
Fertilisers & Chemicals Travancore - Shares of the chemical company climbed and locked at 10 per cent upper circuit with a surge in volume, making it one of the top trending stocks of the session. In just one month, shares have soared over 140 per cent thanks to consecutive upper circuits!
