Amid weak market sentiments, most sectoral indices closed lower except for Banking and Financials. At the closing bell on May 25, the Sensex closed with a loss of 0.6 per cent or 303 points to close at 53,749.26, while the Nifty index lost 0.6 per cent or 99 points at 16,025.80. 

 Minda Industries, Deepak Fertilizer and Bayer Cropscience witnessed positive action in today’s session.

After a tumultuous session on Wednesday, the domestic equity indices ended near the day's low. IT, PSU banks, metals, and real estate companies concluded the day with big losses but private banks & financials managed to finish the day in the green. The top three equities are Shanghai SE (+0.58 per cent), Hang Seng (+0.58 per cent), and Nikkei (+0.11 per cent).

Of the top three gainers, the rally in two stocks came after they announced their Q4 results while the third company is set to announce its Q4 results in a week’s time.
