Overall, Nifty seems to move slowly and gradually in the northward directions but with the formation of multiple indecisive candles in the last couple of trading sessions, it clearly indicates that the momentum is dwindling and if the indecisive bars get a confirmation (by closing below the prior bar low), the bears would smell the blood.

Nifty trend for Monday

DSIJ Intelligence-3 0 1969 Article rating: 4.6

Going ahead, the opening on Monday and the price action thereafter is crucial to watch out for as sustaining & closing below 13,400 would be a breach of the rising trendline on the 75-minutes chart and long-legged Doji gets a confirmation. Hence, for Monday, 13,400 would be crucial for the bulls as a close below this would let the bears put a foot into the door.

Friday is a new day and the bulls are expected to start with fresh energy. SGX Nifty is indicating a positive start as it was trading up by 10 points at 13,534 levels. DSIJ Intelligence-3 0 1991 Article rating: 4.5

On Thursday, the bulls are likely to take a pause as the global cues are negative and SGX Nifty is indicating a fall of 58 points at the opening bell in Nifty. It would be interesting to see whether the market participants grab this initial dip as a buying opportunity like they have done in recent times and would the foreign portfolio investors also latch on to this opportunity and keep markets afloat or not. We do believe this dip will have takers as long as Nifty sustains above the 13,400 mark.

Bank of Baroda forms record session count pattern; bulls may take a breather

Vinayak Gangule 0 9637 Article rating: 3.6

This is an extremely rare pattern and usually occurs at the top of an uptrend. Generally, we rely on the typical momentum indicators or oscillators for recognising an overbought and oversold condition of the stock. However, this Japanese candlestick pattern gives us a unique way to recognise the time when the momentum is about to wane out.
