Starting the expiry week of the September, the domestic markets were volatile on Monday. Later during the day, the indices plunged, owing to the global sell-off cues as well as due to FinCEN’s announcement. Sensex slid by 811.68 points or 2.09 per cent to close at 38,034.14 while Nifty declined by 283.25 points or 2.46 per cent to settle at 11,221.70.

Dragged mainly by banking and financial stocks, the domestic benchmark indices on Friday, witnessed a sharp fall during the afternoon session. Sensex fell by more than 300 points from the day’s high to close at 38,845.82 levels, down by 134.03 points or 0.34 per cent from its previous close. Nifty declined by 11.15 points or 0.10 per cent to settle at 11,504.95 levels.

Markets were slippery throughout the session on Thursday. Sensex tanked 323 points or 0.82 per cent to close at 38,979.75 levels. Nifty was down by 85.30 points or 0.74 per cent to close at 11,519.25 levels. 

Ashok Leyland bags order from logistics startup to supply 1,400 trucks

The flagship company of Hinduja Group, Ashok Leyland, announced on Thursday that it has received a large order from a logistics start-up company, Procure Box. The order is for 1,400 intermediate commercial vehicles (ICVs) for its fuel distribution business across 750 districts in the country.

The store brand is equivalent to Pataday Once Daily Relief and Pataday Twice Daily Relief in the US market.

Lakshmi Vilas Bank hits 10 per cent upper circuit on Clix Group merger development
