Q2CY20: Nestle India net profit increases by 11.15 per cent YoY to Rs 486.6 crore
Largest multinational food and beverage company, Nestle India announced its quarterly results on July 28, 2020. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 486.6 crore for Q2CY20, which grew by 11.15 per cent, as compared to Q2CY19 when it reported Rs 437.79 crore. The company witnessed strong performance in the e-commerce channel, which grew by 122 per cent this quarter thus contributing 3.6 per cent to domestic sales.
The consolidated net sales reported in Q2CY20 came in at Rs 3,050.48 crore, which increased by 1.65 per cent YoY from Rs 3,000.85 crore in Q2CY19. At EBITDA level, the company stood at Rs 747.56 crore in Q2CY20 that increased by 4.89 per cent YoY. For Q2CY19, it posted an EBITDA of Rs 712.68 crore.
EBITDA margin as of Q2CY20 was at 24.51 per cent that increased by 76 bps YoY. The net profit margin in Q2CY20 came in at 15.95 per cent, which increased by 1.36 per cent YoY. The net profit margin in Q2CY19 was at 14.59 per cent.
The stock closed with a decline of 1.41 per cent at Rs 17,098.95 on BSE.
