L&T Construction wins major contracts for its various businesses
The construction segment of L&T has secured contracts from prominent clients for its various businesses. The company’s transportation infrastructure vertical has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the construction of packages 11 and 22 of Delhi-Vadodara Expressway. After the completion, it will be the longest expressway of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under its flagship-Bharatmala Programme.
The project broadly includes 36 kms of eight lanes greenfield expressway with lasting pavement, service roads, interchanges, road over bridges (RoB), major and minor bridges, overpass and underpass for pedestrians/vehicles/cattle.
Another EPC contract secured by the business is from Public Works (Roads) Directorate by Government of West Bengal. The contract is for the reconstruction of four lane Tallah ROB and viaduct connecting both the ends Shyam Bazar and Dunlop, including Chitpur Ramp.
The water and effluent treatment business has secured an order for engineering, procurement and construction from State Water and Sanitation Mission, Uttar Pradesh. It is to implement water supply schemes in Mahoba and Sonbhadra districts, respectively. The two projects include designing and construction of intake structure and water treatment plants, water reservoirs, overhead service reservoirs, pump houses and house service connections. The project facilitates potable drinking water to 3.78 lakh people in the aforementioned districts in UP.
