Top 10 wealth creating PMS in last decade

In the year 2020, there had been a lot of regulatory changes for portfolio management services (PMS). Now, PMS cannot charge upfront fees either directly or indirectly from clients. Operational expenses, excluding brokerage over & above the fees charged for portfolio management service, will not exceed 0.50 per cent per annum of the client’s average daily assets under management (AUM). Further, if the client redeemed the portfolio in part or full, the exit load charged in the first year of investment should not exceed 3 per cent of the amount redeemed. In the second and third years, the exit load should be a maximum of 2 per cent and 1 per cent, respectively. However, after three years from the date of investment, no exit load can be charged. Also, PMS now need to have direct plans as well, like the one we have on mutual funds. Even the minimum investment amount has been increased from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.

The above norms have been changed recently. However, in the past 10 years, there are a lot of regulatory changes that the PMS industry has accommodated. Despite such changes, these 10 PMS schemes have managed to create wealth for their investors.
