Larsen & Toubro bags orders worth Rs. 1,477 crore
The construction arm of L&T has secured orders across its two business segments. The total order is valued at Rs. 1,477 crore. The share of L&T remained flat in the morning session.
The Water and Effluent treatment segment of L&T has been granted orders from the Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan and will be engaged in the execution of drinking water supply projects in Pali, Durgapur and in Banswara districts of Rajasthan. The scope of the order includes cover designs, engineering & construction of intake structures, water treatment plants, water storage reservoirs, supply and laying of transmission and distribution pipelines, design and construction of village transfer chambers etc. The part order is worth Rs. 1,157 crore.
The Building and Factories Business has received an order of Rs. 320 crore from a two-wheeler manufacturer for the construction of their manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh. Under this order, L&T will be involved in civil, structural, architectural and other development works.
On Friday, the shares of L&T opened slightly higher at Rs 1,312 per share against its previous close of Rs 1,308 per share on the BSE. At 12:28 hours, the share was trading at Rs. 1,296.90, down by 0.99 per cent per share on the BSE. The intraday high was Rs. 1,317 and intraday low was 1,296 per share on the BSE. The 52-week high was Rs. 1,496 and 52-week low was 1,124.50 per share on the BSE.
The benchmark index BSE Sensex was trading at 36,437.04, up by 0.31 per cent and nifty was at 10,995.20, up by 0.167 per cent.
