Budget 2018: Govt allocates Rs. 7,140 crore to Textiles sector

Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley in his Budget speech announced that government is planning to allocate Rs. 7,140 crore for textiles sector in 2018-19.

The announcement comes as good news for the sector.

However, the textile stocks were trading mixed on the bourses.

Page Industries, KPR mills, Monte Carlo, Welspun Corp, Siyaram Silk, Lux Industries are up anywhere between 0.05 per cent to 2.5 per cent.

Whereas Indo Count Industries, Century textiles, VIP Clothing are trading in red on the bourses.
