Q3FY18 Results: Centum Electronics posts weak performance
Centum Electronics posted its Q3FY18 results wherein overall numbers were subdued across the board. Total revenue for the quarter declined by 26 per cent yoy and 17 per cent qoq to Rs.74 crore as against Rs. 100 crore in the previous year's corresponding quarter and Rs. 90 crore in the previous quarter.
The company posted operating loss for the quarter at Rs. 6 crore in Q3FY18 as against EBITDA of Rs. 11 crore in previous year's corresponding quarter and operating loss of Rs. 8 crore in previous quarter. This was largely due to higher raw material expenses by 11 per cent yoy to Rs.71 crore in Q3FY18 as against Rs. 64 crore in previous year corresponding quarter.
The bottom-line also remained subdued for the quarter at net loss of Rs. 6 crore in Q3FY18 as against Rs. 9 crore in previous year corresponding quarter.
On Wednesday, the stock opened at Rs. 629 per share and was trading below the opening mark by 2.6 per cent at Rs. 620.
