Multi-Asset Funds

Multi-Asset Funds

You cover story titled ‘Multi-Asset Funds: Better Investment Experience’ was indeed helpful in understanding the category. However, does it make sense to have a portfolio of equity, debt and gold and would it benefit in terms of taxation and costs?

- Dev Bagga

Editor Responds : You can always have a portfolio of equity, debt and gold. Nevertheless, the problem with that is that you may lack the discipline and knowledge to keep on rebalancing them at an appropriate interval. Moreover, costs such as commission, brokerage and other incidentals will also be more compared to investing in a multi-asset fund.
