Chennai Petroleum Q1FY18 result: Net profit tanks 80.4 per cent QoQ
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited reported its results for the quarter ended June 30, 2017, today.
The company's total sales for Q1FY18 came in at Rs 9,649.42 crore, which represents a 1.71 per cent sequential increase and 1.35 per cent YoY decline.
Its operating profit (EBIT) for the quarter amounted to Rs 123.74 crore and its EBIT margin stood at 1.28 per cent.
The company reported PAT of Rs 33.49 crore, which represents a sequential QoQ decline of 80.4 per cent and a YoY decline of 92.87 per cent.
The company's stock opened at Rs 409.80 on the BSE and recorded intra-day high and low of Rs 410.80 and Rs 393.60, respectively.
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited produces and sells petroleum and speciality products in India. The company’s principal products include liquefied petroleum gas, motor spirit, kerosene oil, aviation turbine fuel and high-speed diesel. It serves requirement of transportation fuel for roadways, railways and airways as well as fertilisers, power and petrochemicals industries.
