Mcleod Russel PAT turns positive in Q2FY18
Mcleod Russel reported results for the quarter ended September 30, 2017 on Friday.
Total sales for Q2FY18, came in at Rs. 468.6 crore. This represents a 142.3 per cent sequential increase and 0.7 per cent YoY decline.
Operating profit (EBIT) for the recently concluded quarter amounted to Rs. 195.4 crore and the EBIT margin stood at 41 per cent.
The company reported PAT of Rs. 143.52 crore in Q2FY18 versus net loss of Rs. 1.66 crore in its preceding quarter.
McLeod Russel is a tea plantation company primarily engaged in the business of cultivation, manufacture and sale of tea.
On Friday, the stock opened at Rs. 168 and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 173.50 and Rs. 166.20, respectively, and finally closed at Rs. 167 on the BSE.
