Tuesday was again filled with volatility as investors adopted the 'sell-on-rally and buy-on-dip' approaches. Sensex closed up by 280.15 points or by 0.56 per cent at 50,051.44 levels while Nifty gained 78.35 points or 0.53 per cent to settle at 14,814.75 levels. 

Bulls made a comeback at D-Street as domestic benchmark indices snapped their 5-day losing streak to end the week in the positive territory. On Friday, Sensex surged by 641.72 points or by 1.30 per cent, to close at 49,858.24 levels while Nifty jumped by 186.15 points or 1.28 per cent to settle at 14,744 levels. 

On Wednesday, the domestic benchmark indices struggled to stay afloat in the positive territory. A sudden plunge towards the end of today's trading session resulted in Sensex closing at 49,801.62 levels, down by 562.34 points or 1.12 per cent while Nifty fell by 189.15 points or 1.27 per cent to settle at 14,721.30 levels.
