At noon on Thursday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen trading at 59,522.72 and 17,786.05 levels, respectively. Sensex was down by 576.10 points or 0.96 per cent, while Nifty was down by 124.70 points or 0.85 per cent from the last trading session. 

Structurally, the stock has been making a higher high and higher low on the weekly chart, indicating a positive price structure. As the stock is trading at a 31-week high, all the short and long-term moving averages are trending upside. The 20, 50 & 200-DMA are clearly trending up and moreover, they are in the desired sequence.   

You must have heard of the proverb, ‘birds of a feather flock together’, similarly, all these companies from the metal sector have appeared in the T20 breakout system, which clearly indicates that this sector is likely to be in the limelight in the coming days. 

Interestingly, the index moved in a range of 116 points, which was the narrowest in the last seven trading sessions; as a result, the index has formed an NR7 bar.  Among sectoral indices, Nifty Energy and Nifty IT were the top two gainers while on the flip side, Nifty Metal & Nifty FMCG turned out to be the top losers.

Buying interest was visible in the broader market indices as well with Nifty Midcap and Smallcap 100 advancing 0.85 per cent & 1.28 per cent, respectively. Nifty Smallcap 100 index is just 1.8 per cent away from its all-time high.
