Bull run halts on Dalal Street; Nifty closes negative after 9 positive sessions; PSU Banks gain

Among Nifty 50 stocks, Nestle India, Powergrid Corporation, and State Bank of India were the top gainers, while Infosys, HCL Tech, and Tech Mahindra were the top losers

The Nifty ended in the red today, after nine consecutive positive sessions, closing around 121 points or 0.68% lower at approximately 17,706. The S&P BSE Sensex also closed lower, down around 520 points. However, the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 rallied by 0.39% and 0.33%, respectively.

Stock is near to its technical breakout of continuation pattern along with trend reversal pattern. Now it closed at Rs 413.15 on NSE and closing above Rs 430 will confirm this breakout. Targets of this pattern will be around Rs 1000 – Rs 1500 within 2 years only.

Nifty recovered nearly 100 points from day’s low; Banks and Realty sector stocks led the rally

Sectors like PSU Bank, Realty and PVT Bank outperformed the Nifty while IT and Pharma sector remained weak for the day.

Nifty again closed around day’s high after profit booking of morning session. It closed nearly flat around 90 points or 0.51 per cent to close around 17,812 level. S&P BSE Sensex also closed marginally higher around 38 points. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 rallied 0.20 per cent and 0.29 per cent respectively. 

Nifty closes above 17,800; Pharma, IT and auto sector stocks rally

Divis Lab, Eicher Motors and Bajaj-Auto are the top gainers while Power Grid, Nestle and NTPC were the top losers amongst Nifty 50 stocks.

Nifty closed around the day's high after filling the opening gap. It closed higher around 90 points or 0.51 per cent to close around the 17,812 level. BSE Sensex rallied more than 235 points and closed just below the important resistance of the downward-sloping trendline on the daily timeframe. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 rallied 0.65 per cent and 0.53 per cent, respectively. 

Indices closed positive for 7 consecutive sessions; Metal and Banks supported the rally

Metal, Banks and Auto outperformed the Nifty while IT sector corrected before the TCS results, which will be due on tomorrow

It closed higher around 98.2 points or 0.56 per cent to close around 17,722 level. S&P BSE Sensex also closed green with more than 300 points. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 rallied 0.50 per cent and 0.41 per cent respectively.
