Market Wrap: Sensex and Nifty ends marginally higher!

With the SGX Nifty indicating a negative start for the broader index, opening the session at 18,697 and experiencing a loss of 30 points, it is expected that the market will open marginally lower on June 6.

Nifty and Sensex close higher, surpassing levels of 18,500 and 62,800 respectively!

Following a weekend agreement by US President Joe Biden and congressional Republican Kevin McCarthy to suspend the government's debt ceiling, Asian shares and US stock futures experienced an uptick. This deal brings an end to a months-long stalemate and alleviates concerns among investors.

Stocks rallied on Friday as traders grew hopeful of a US debt ceiling deal, avoiding a default. The Dow Jones climbed 1 per cent to 33,093.34, the S&P 500 gained 1.3 per cent to 4,205.45, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 2.2 per cent to 12,975.69.

Nifty and Sensex ended marginally lower; L&T and Dr. Reddy’s cracked post results

Consumption and Realty sector traded strong for the day while Pharma and Infra sector stocks remained weak

Today markets opened gap up and lost all strength to close around the day’s low. Nifty closed 18 points lower below the closing level of last trading session at 18,297 level. S&P BSE Sensex also closed nearly flat, 35 points lower at 61,904 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 witnessed profit booking on higher levels but somehow it managed to close 0.3 per cent and 0.5 per cent higher.   

Bull run seen on D-street, Sensex rallied more than 700 points, Nifty rose almost 200 points; Auto, Private Banks and Realty sector led the rally

IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors and Bajaj Finance were the top gainers while Coal India, Sun Pharma and Dr Reddy’s Lab were the top losers amongst Nifty 50 stocks.

Indices engulfed the fall of last trading session and closed above it. Nifty rose 195 points to close 1 per cent higher at 18,264 level.  S&P BSE Sensex jumped more than 700 points and closed at 61,764 level. Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Small cap 100 also participated in the rally and closed around 1.02 per cent and 0.94 per cent higher respectively.
