Market Wrap: Nifty Midcap reaches its all-time high while Nifty Smallcap reaches its 52-week high!

Foreign institutional investors (FII) bought shares valued at Rs 3,085.51 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) sold shares worth Rs 297.88 crore on June 15.

Market Update at 3:30 PM: Sensex and Nifty surge by 0.73 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap surges by 0.66 per cent and reached its all-time high while Nifty Smallcap surges by 0.98 per cent and reached its 52-week high.

India VIX plunged by 3.16 per cent.

Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty PSU Bank were among the top gainers while Nifty IT and Nifty Realty were among the top losers.

Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Life and SBI Life were among the top gainers while TCS, Bajaj Auto and Wipro were among the top losers.

About 1250 stocks are advancing as against to 691 stocks that were declining. Thus, indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap have surged by 0.56 per cent and 1.08 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 3.61 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty PSU Bank are among the top gainers while Nifty IT is among the top losers and Nifty Realty trades flat.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, HDFC Life and SBI Life are among the top gainers while TCS, Bajaj Auto and Wipro are among the top losers.

About 1391 stocks are advancing as against to 548 stocks that were declining. Thus, indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap have surged by 0.52 per cent and 0.98 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 3.52 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty PSU Bank are among the top gainers while Nifty IT is among the top losers.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, HDFC Life and Bajaj Finserv are among the top gainers while TCS, Bajaj Auto and Tata Consumer are among the top losers.

About 1499 stocks are advancing as against to 440 stocks that were declining. Thus, indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 9:30 AM: Sensex and Nifty opens higher by 0.39 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap surges by 0.6 per cent and Nifty Smallcap surges by 0.84 per cent.

India VIX has plunged by 3.7 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty Realty and Nifty PSU Bank are among the top gainers while Nifty IT trades flat.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Adani Enterprises and Hindalco are among the top gainers while TCS, BPCL and Power Grid are among the top losers.

About 1588 stocks are advancing as against to 288 stocks that were declining. Thus, indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Pre- Market Update at 8:00 AM: Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 48 points. Similarly, both S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq-100 futures experienced a downturn of approximately 0.2 per cent.

Supported by a decline in the US dollar and an increase in refinery runs in China, oil prices climbed by approximately 3 per cent. Brent crude futures surged by $2.47, indicating a 3.4 per cent rise, and settled at $75.67 per barrel. In futures trading, the Dollar index experienced a 0.78 per cent decline, reaching 102.14. Concurrently, the value of one dollar remained close to Rs 82.24.

On June 16, the market is expected to open with a slight increase as indicated by the SGX Nifty, showing a positive start for the benchmark indices with a rise of 78 points. The SGX futures reached a peak of 18,884 during early trading on the same day, after starting the session at 18,822 points.

Stocks that are banned for trading in the F&O segment on June 16 are BHEL, Delta Corp, Indiabulls Housing Finance, IEX, India Cements, L&T Finance Holdings, Manappuram, Tata Chemicals and Zee Entertainment.
