Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on February 23

The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-cap Index up 0.25 per cent and the BSE Small-cap Index up 0.53 per cent.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading flattish on Friday with the Sensex down 0.02 per cent at 73,143 and the Nifty-50 down 0.02 per cent at 22,213. About 2,046 shares have advanced, 1,792 have declined and 98 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 73,427.59 on January 16, 2024, and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 22,297.50 on February 23, 2024.

The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.25 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.53 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Vodafone Idea Ltd, Supreme Industries Ltd and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC). In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Yasho Industries Ltd, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd and SML Isuzu Ltd. 

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading in mixed with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Capital Goods Index being the Top Gainers while the BSE Energy Index and BSE Metals Index were the Top Losers. 

BSE-listed companies' market capitalisation is approximately - Rs 393 lakh crore or USD 4.74 trillion as of February 23, 2024. On the same day, 355 stocks hit a 52-week high while 9 stocks touched a 52-week low.
