Shares below Rs 100: Only buyers were seen in these stocks on January 02

The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,65,21,165 crore or approx. Rs 365 lakh crore as of January 02, 2024.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices were trading negatively on Tuesday with the Sensex down 0.53 per cent at 71,892 and the Nifty-50 down 0.35 per cent at 21,666. About 1,992 shares have advanced, 1,812 have declined and 125 were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 72,561.91 and the NSE Nifty-50 made a new 52-week high of 21,834.35 on January 01, 2024.

The broader markets were in negative territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index down 0.08 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index down 0.03 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, Lupin Ltd and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd while the top small-cap gainers were VST Industries Ltd, Alok Industries Ltd and PC Jeweller Ltd

On the sectoral front, the indices were trading mixed with the BSE Healthcare Index being the Top Gainers and the BSE Capital Goods Index being the Top Losers.

The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,65,21,165 crore or approx. Rs 365 lakh crore as of January 02, 2024. On the same day, 379 stocks hit a 52-week high while 18 stocks touched a 52-week low.
