On the downside, the zone of 10,012-10,126 is likely to act as a crucial support level for the Nifty and it needs to hold above this zone to avoid fresh weakness creeping in. Ambuja Cement Limited reported its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2018. Ambuja Cement's consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 6,097.53 crore, registering 11.8 per cent yoy increase.

Zensar Technologies consolidated revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 968.71 crores, registering 7.09 per cent QoQ increase. This was primarily driven by growth in across the divisions.

Hi-Tech Gears announced creation of a wholly-owned subsidiary at Ontario, Canada, by the name of Neo-Tech Smart Solutions Inc today after market hours. The company bought it for cash consideration of 2.5 lakh Canadian dollars remitted against allotment of 2.5 lakh common shares of 1 Canadian dollar each.

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Limited has announced that the company has been awarded Rs. 538.76 crore for a project in Lucknow. Shares of the company dipped below 3 per cent.

The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 33.48 crore as against Rs. 26.87 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 25 per cent YoY. This jump in profit was mainly due to sharp decline in effective tax rate to 8 per cent in Q2FY19 from 21 per cent in Q2FY18.

The NII for the quarter increased by 2 per cent yoy and 3.2 per cent qoq to Rs. 103.39 crore in Q2FY19 as against Rs. 126.3 crore in Q1FY19 and Rs. 127.85 crore in Q2FY18. The interest income for the company grew by 12.2 per cent yoy to Rs. 414.2 crore in Q2FY19 vs Rs. 369.24 crore in Q2FY18.

Mumbai based real estate firm, Oberoi Realty’s consolidated revenue for the second quarter of FY19 came in at Rs. 592.11 crore, registering 95.1 per cent yoy increase. 

Jubilant Life Sciences’ consolidated revenue for the quarter ended on September 2018 stood at Rs. 2,269 crore, up by 38 per cent YoY. This was led by stellar performance across all the segment, Pharmaceuticals division which account for 58 per cent of revenue recorded 55 per cent yoy growth.

The revenue break-up for the said quarter stood at box office (56.5 per cent), food & beverages (21.5 per cent), advertisement (10.3 per cent) and others (8.5 per cent). The company is having pan India presence with 536 screens in 66 cities.

The EBITDA for the quarter rose by 32.5 per cent yoy to Rs. 76.27 crore as against Rs. 57.56 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin expansion of 681 bps.
