Valiant Organics, Shankara Building Products and NIIT witnessed positive action in today’s session. 

Top losing sectors today were auto, banks, capital goods, FMCG, oil & gas, and power, while buying was seen in metal and smallcap indices. European stocks advanced while Asian markets mostly ended higher. Global markets continue to be mixed by events in Ukraine as the war continues. Ukraine's President Zelenskyy warned at the weekend that if peace talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin fail, it would mean the start of a third global war. 

On Monday, the benchmark indices started the session on a bit higher note but ended deep in the red amid volatility. Sensex fell 571.44 points or 0.99 per cent at 57292.49 level, and the Nifty was down 69.40 points or 0.98 per cent down at 17117.60 level.

Nifty closed lower by nearly a per cent at 17,117.60 while the mid-cap, as well as the small-cap indices, closed on a mixed note.  

With Sensex dropping down by over 500 points today, this pharma company has been flying as it announces a collaboration with Serum Life Sciences UK Ltd (a subsidiary of the Serum Institute of India) for manufacturing multiple vaccines in the UK.
