On Friday, Shashijit Infraprojects informed the bourses that it has received an order to the tune of Rs 100 lakh to Rs 150 lakh from Siddhi Constructions for the construction of public utility services at its Surat site.

Cords Cable Industries announced on Friday that it had been awarded an order for around Rs 22 crore from an Indian arm of a Taiwan-based Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services major.

Voltbek Home Appliances, a joint venture of Voltas and Arcelik, a consumer durables player in Europe, announced on Thursday about the opening of its first manufacturing facility in India. Situated in Sanand (Gujarat), the site factory will manufacture home appliances which will include refrigerators and washing machines, thus creating an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) base for home appliances in the region.

On Thursday, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that its water and effluent treatment business had been awarded the prestigious Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) order from Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA), Government of Madhya Pradesh to execute Indira Sagar-Parwati Phase III and IV Lift Micro Irrigation Project. 

In respect to an on-site inspection carried out on ICICI Lombard GIC from August 3, 2015 to August 14, 2015, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) issued an order to impose a penalty of Rs 1 crore on ICICI Lombard. In addition, the regulator also issued various directions and advisory to the company.
