The increase in US yield, global market weakness and decrease in INR induced selling pressure in the domestic market. 

For the fourth continuous trading session, the domestic benchmark indices ended higher. The majority of the sectors traded similarly to the benchmark indices and ended higher in a flat to the marginal pattern.

Net Profit up by 102.93 per cent to Rs 535 crore in Q2FY23 on a Y-o-Y basis as against Rs 264 crore for Q2FY22. The same is up by 18.40 per cent on a Q-o-Q sequential basis.

After opening in the red zone, the markets made their way into the green territory and held their gains throughout the session.  

The domestic markets portrayed a decent surge on the last day of the current week. Strong recovery in the global indices and upbeat earnings led to a gap-up start but the latter half witnessed profit-taking, which half-faded the gains.
